One Earth One Chance is partnering with Sai Center of Dallas and City of Frisco to plant 350 native shrubs that are well adapted to the local habitat, to restore a pollinator park!
Help us create thriving prairie habitats that support wildlife in the urban environment using native plants. These plants require less water, need no artificial fertilizers, and are vital for providing food and shelter to wildlife. By creating a habitat, you’re contributing to wildlife conservation and ensuring their survival.
We will be guided by Texas Master Naturalists to:
weed out Johnson grass,
install the native plants,
overseed with cereal rye, and
add compost/mulch to prevent erosion and invasive species takeover in the spring.
What to bring: Gloves, shovels, and garden tools will be provided, but bring a reusable bottle of water and wear sunscreen and bug spray. Light refreshments will be provided.
We will enjoy a fun, hands-on experience outdoors while making a positive impact on nature!
