Annual fundraiser and report out to key donors with lunch and light music entertainment for their significant contribution to tree planting. We are raising money for One Earth One Chance and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. This is to support our tree planting under the guidance of arborists once temperatures have cooled down in fall. We are planting 100 trees in Richardson, McKinney and Dallas. The trees will be 30 gallon or larger containerized trees and planting, staking, mulching, irrigation and maintenance is included in the cost of $500 per tree.

The tree canopy within cities has become a growing concern in municipalities worldwide as urbanization has led to land-use conversion and loss of urban forests. The benefits of tree canopy in mitigating the negative effects of air pollution, extreme temperatures, storm water runoff, and environmental and social factors such as human health and property values, have led to an increasing desire to stop or reverse the losses in canopy cover. Planting trees is cheap, so please act now, to cut carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by up to 25%, to levels last seen almost a century ago.
